What We Can Do for You

ThinkTheatre has attracted the attention of various sponsors in the KZN region, and is loyally supported by the University of Johannesburg, the Playhouse Company, the National Arts Council and BASA, and is grateful for their ongoing support. In the interest of growing the brand, and its sizeable potential we seek sponsorship that has an interest in the major centres in the country with a view to allowing us to further develop the outreach areas. We seek corporations and companies which have an interest in reaching in the most direct way, the South African youth in the form of matriculating students. The cost of mounting and touring a production of this magnitude is considerable, and because we also believe in proper remuneration for all the artists involved, it would be impossible without the help of sponsors, as we maintain ticket costs at an absolute minimum. This is what we can offer you, and we welcome any thoughts you might have to further your organisation’s interest in the time ahead.

  • The option of placing staff to promote competitions, prizes, offers, or simply branding merchandise in all venues.
  • Immediate access to some 26 000 + learners
  • Utilisation of the foyer areas, the theatre spaces (excluding the stage) and entrances and exits for branding material.
  • Sponsor’s branding on all marketing material, including posters, programmes (including a study guide which the learners take home to use), and anything else they wish to supply to the venues.
  • Advertising inside of the programme (including the study guide).
  • On booking, schools are encouraged to arrive early in order to access the sponsor’s offerings and discussions (sometimes a chat outside, a short DVD)
  • Verbal acknowledgement by the director at the start of each performance and further encouragement to remain after and liaise with sponsor representatives.
  • An opportunity to align with BASA (Business and Arts South Africa) which ThinkTheatre will arrange, and thus be part of a prestigious awards event (Rainbow Chicken received it in 2009), which comes with various perks for the sponsor too.
  • Tickets to the performances as well as media mention wheresoever the publicist or producer has control over said media release.
  • Television opportunities – we have been filmed and interviewed by SUMMIT TV, E-TV, and SABC
  • ThinkTheatre employs its own publicist, who is extremely well connected in all the major centres and attracts vast media attention to the project. He is able to work with your marketing team to make the right impact for your organisation.
